As KL allows you to define your own kind of items, you can also define your own kind of links: custom links.
You want to remember what recipe you cooked for your friends. You link “Marry” to “Greek salad” to remember you prepared this delicious salad to your friend Marry. Did Marry enjoyed the salad? This link doesn’t tell. You’d like to update this link and select a link like ‘Marry’ ‘enjoyed’ ‘Greek salad’.
So! you want to create a custom link.
Open “Tools”, “Design” then “Links”. Touch “+” and give a name to your new link: “enjoyed”
KL needs to know what kind of items can be linked with the link “enjoyed”. “Marry” “enjoyed” “Greek salad”. Marry is a friend and Greek salad is a recipe. So, “enjoyed” starts from items of type Friends and ends to items of type Recipes.
Create a link between “My friends” and “enjoyed”. You see that KL creates a relation like “enjoyed” “starts from” “Friends”. Now create a link between “Recipes” and “enjoyed”. You see that KL creates a relation like “enjoyed” “ends to” “Recipes”.
